Authorities have released the names of
eight of the 11 militia members involved in a standoff with police along Interstate 95 Saturday,
which shut the highway down for hours.
The group, identified as Rise of the
Moors, told police they were traveling from Rhode Island to Maine to conduct
training, Mass. State Police said in a release.
The men were dressed in military fatigues
and body armor and according to police were armed with long guns and pistols
and did not have licenses to carry firearms. Police said a trooper first
spotted the men refueling their vehicles along the side of the highway.
