Our navy wants to scrap a 25 year old ‘Super Aircraft Carrier’!

Our navy wants to scrap
a 25 year old ‘Super Aircraft Carrier’!
This congress does not want to.
Trump wants to build even more
‘Super Aircraft Carrier’!
I say, do not scrap,
decommission and/or sell
all 11 we now have!
And this is why.

One new nuclear power ballistic-missile submarines can wipe out all 11 of our carriers and we still have the best, and still be able to completely destroy the country of China if necessary!
And
this country has 13 more nuclear power ballistic-missile submarines to back it up!
The news media is a collection of 'mpalsi chichiz media' (Nut case), and all must have Alzheimer's
Not one of them remember the every time trump entertained a communist, he did so behind closed doors, (no media from this country), in places like his town house, his Florida home and our Whitehouse!
Bottom-line,
many of our surface ships are now floating grave yards with millions of my shipmates lives.
Ballistic-missile submarines or “boomers” in U.S. Navy parlance.
The fourteen Ohio-class ballistic-missile submarines, which carry upwards of half of the United States’ nuclear arsenal onboard, the Ohio-class boats may be the most destructive weapon system created by humankind.
Each of the 170-meter-long vessels can carry twenty-four Trident II submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBMs) which can be fired from underwater to strike at targets more than seven thousand miles away depending on the load, a Trident II reenters the atmosphere at speeds of up to Mach 24,
it splits into up to eight independent reentry vehicles, each with a 100- or 475-kiloton nuclear warhead
In short,
a full salvo from an Ohio-class submarine—which can be launched in less than one minute—could unleash up to 192 nuclear warheads to wipe twenty-four cities off the map
This is a nightmarish weapon of the apocalypse.

University of Texas System

Welcome to the visitor from University of Texas System
In

Austin, Texas
To
Aquai/Aquine
One can only hope you stayed long enough
to get down to the meat of the post?
Not sure how things are going with the ‘Fast Food Restaurants’ in your state however;
In Florida it is and has been a disaster for years!
As I stated in that post, as a ‘Union Man’ I believe one should be paid well plus benefits that fit the job.
As a frequent customer of fast food restaurant in Florida, one should expect to be treated well and get what you paid for?
After all,
one would think that any restaurant
needs return customers
as well as satisfied customers?

“Fast Food Restaurant minimum wage”?

If a restaurant, any restaurant,
would pay and care for
real good employees,
their service, and their food.

Customers
would always outgrow
 their competition
and this would mean
more money in the pocket.

Fast food like Wal-Mart is too big for their britches.

AS a proud, now retired
‘Union Steward,’
I believer in
the workers of my country
and Mother Earth for that matter.

While we are on this subject, pay should never be by ‘Gender’!

It must not be because you are
white, black, red, brown, yellow, or (lgbtq).
Not because of your ancestors or the country they are from.
It is, or should be,
‘how well you do the job’!

This last one
is the subject of today’s posting!

When anyone around my age and of a union, we are talking $15 minimum plus ‘real benefits’!

Being paid for your work
must be by your
qualifications, knowledge, experience, neatness
and
not because of your
color or lack thereof!

Unfortunately my friends,
this is only the beginning of this story!

When was the last time you pulled up to a window of a
“Fast Food Restaurant”?

That person
as you pull up
and
the rest of the employees
are screaming for $15 per hour,
some even want more.

Because we only have one car
and
Florida is now a ‘Gun Shine State,’

And
We always take our dogs along for the ride;
we like to treat ourselves to a lunch out,
the dogs food is always with us.
Our trips in Florida turns out to be
a challenge just to get your order,
let alone getting it right the first time
and
 if you take too long
someone behind you is on the horn!

As a
‘Working Forman’ for 25 of my 40 years,
not only would I not pay some of them $15.

I would try to retrain or I would fire them!

Particle Pollution blamed for more than 107,000 deaths

Air Pollution Linked to More Than 107,000
Premature Deaths in U.S. in 2011: Study
Posted 12:22 PM, April 8, 2019, by CNN Wire
Air pollution is deadly:
A new study links exposure to it to more than 107,000 premature deaths in the United States in 2011.
It isn’t just killing us;
it cost the country $866 billion,
more than double the value of all the economic activity in a country like Ireland,
according to the study, published Monday
Particulate matter, or particle pollution,
is the mix of solid and liquid droplets floating in the air,
It can come in the form of dirt, dust, soot or smoke.
Particulate pollution comes from
coal- and natural gas-fired plants. Cars, agriculture, unpaved roads, construction sites
and
wildfires can also create it.
This study focused on the harm caused by the tiniest particulate matter,
PM2.5
It’s so tiny –1/20th of a width of a human hair — that you cannot see it,
and
it can travel past your body’s
Instead of being breathed out,
it can get stuck in your lungs
or
go into your bloodstream.
The particles cause irritation and inflammation
and
can lead to respiratory problems.
Long-term exposure can cause cancer, stroke and heart attack.
Particulate pollution in the air we breathe
kills hundreds of thousands a year, study finds

America needs to, ‘Obey our own law from 1941’!

America, ‘Obey your own law from 1941’!
I like what it is that Representative now running to be our president,
Tim Ryan (D-OH), is promising to do however;
he needs a better group of people checking history!
He was right to pin outsourcing
on then president some 20 years ago.
However;
The Berry Amendment two days before my birthday
shows that this country has been outsourcing for over 78 years!
Wouldn’t it be great if congress

would refine and obey their own
‘Congress Laws’?
Under a 1941 law, most of the military’s uniform items
must be made in the U.S.A.

Change this to ‘All of the military’s uniforms’!
The Berry Amendment
Directs the Defense Department to give preference in procurement to domestically produced or manufactured products, including clothing and fabrics. The idea is to create American jobs and protect the supply chain in times of conflict.
“Basically they didn’t want things to be outsourced,”
Carter said.
“They didn’t want people to be in the American military wearing something made in China.”
But for decades, sneakers were exempt from that rule. Instead, recruits were given about $90 to buy shoes themselves.
The Pentagon argued U.S. made shoes were too costly, too limited, and not durable enough to meet the military’s needs.
Around 98 percent of shoes are imported from other countries,
where labor and manufacturing costs are lower.
The military postponed buying American-made sneakers,
 claiming a lack of availability.

How Elections Could Significantly Change

Here's How Elections Could Significantly Change In CT
A committee passed a slew of election-related bills,
including one to require
presidential candidates to release tax returns.
By Rich Scinto, Patch Staff | Apr 2, 2019 12:40 pm ET
It’s about time?
This is only about 250 (243), years in waiting!
Read on if you will?
HARTFORD, CT
The Government Administration and Elections Committee approved a number of bills that could lead to major changes in how Connecticut residents vote. The bills now head to the General Assembly for another vote.
Disclosure of Presidential and Gubernatorial Candidate Federal Taxes
Another bill would require presidential and gubernatorial candidates to publicly disclose at least two years worth of tax returns in order to appear on the ballot. Several other states are pushing for similar measures, but there is debate whether it would stand up to a court challenge. President Donald Trump didn't release his tax returns, which bucked a decades-long trend among major party candidates. Last week a committee approved a bill that could lead to early in-person voting via a constitutional amendment. The proposal still has a long way to go as it requires either a 75% majority in both the State House and Senate or to pass by a majority two years in a row in both houses before appearing as a question on the ballot.
Three states have all-mail voting and nearly 40 have some form of early voting, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.
Connecticut voters can either vote in-person on Election Day or apply and mail-in absentee ballot. The rules regarding who qualifies for an absentee ballot are strict. The process currently requires an application which is sent to the local Town Clerk who then sends a ballot before an election, primary or referendum. That ballot then has to be filled out and either mailed back or dropped off in-person before the Election Day deadline.
A number of bills would increase Election Day voter registration across the state. Some big cities have run into issues with low staffing levels coupled with a mass of last-minute registrants over the past few election cycles. Some registrants waited in line for four hours to register in New Haven last election.
Under current law, voters must be registered by 8 p.m. Election Day in order to cast a ballot. Those stuck in registration line when the clock strikes eight can't vote. A bill proposed by Gov. Ned Lamont and approved by a committee would also allow those in line for Election-Day registration to vote after 8 p.m.
One bill would allow additional Election Day registration locations in towns and require that registrars of voters advise the Secretary of State office on the expected staffing levels. The bill passed unanimously out of committee.

Modern day women are joining MeToo Movement

Modern day women are joining MeToo Movement
While many men follow suit, I have also joined.
Today’s Whoopi less View, was sort of along this line while
talking about Joe Bides life and why he now has a 2nd accuser.
What I am having a problem understanding is
How can Modern MeToo Women like

Joy Behar and Lucy Flores be backers of this senator from Vermont?
As a matter of fact,
thousands of women
seem to have brushed this off
while wanting to hang

'Real Democratic's out to dry'!
Did you watch the Whoopi less view today 04/02/2019?
Three Republicans, one possible Democrat and Joy Behar, all voting against the trump!
People are bashing Joe Biden and trump;
I understand the ‘trump bashing’, but ‘Joe Biden’?

While backing Bernie Sanders?
Joy Behar is a Bernie Sanders follower
and hopeful president candidate
even though she knows his past?

North Alabama soybean farmers and Steel Workers

Another one bites the dust!
Trump's ill-advised trade war is about to wreak havoc on North Alabama,
Especially when it comes to soybean farmers.
Most folks don't realize that
Limestone, Madison, Lawrence, and Jackson counties
lead the U.S. in soybean production
and that
China purchases millions of bushels from North Alabama growers.
Of course,
AL Congressman Mo Brooks,
has been weak and tepid
in his response to Trump's foolish trade war
showing that he cares more about grandstanding over immigration
than issues that directly affect hard-working families in his district.
His failure to speak out against the tariffs on soybeans
and
steel

demonstrate a dereliction of duty to his constituents.
Either that,
Or
he's just as afraid of Trump's mean tweets
as he is of attending local town hall meetings.

Make America Great"!

Whatever happened to “Make America Great Again”?

Country gas prices are once again raising under the guise
(a doormat of a fake maintenance), “BULL”
Today’s gas pricing is $1.75 in Central Florida,
Diesel, which should be less, is a lot more!
Mexico is the second or third best business partner of this country
and trump wants to close down our border?
trump tried to dump the Special Olympics!
Wants to dump Social security!
Wants to dump Medicare!
Wants to dump Medicaid!
Our veterans are living in
wooded areas, park benches, bus stop benches, parking lots and so on!
Many of your neighbors,
maybe even you or your family,
must work two or more jobs,
most without benefits,
just to break even every month!
And
He has been trying to end all healthcare
with the fake statements of a better healthcare
from him and the Republican Party,
if this is true,
'trump, show your Pride’
show us this
‘better healthcare program’?
Make America Great"!
Reagan used the statement to get control of the government.
Clinton used it 'in spite of not having control of your government'.
trump is using it to
‘Rule over your Country’!
