Republicans, Democrats trade blame for stalled US COVID-19 aid legislation

WASHINGTON: Top Democrats and Republicans blamed each other for stalled talks on coronavirus aid legislation on Sunday (Aug 23), a day after the House of Representatives approved US$25 billion in new funds for the US Postal Service, a bill that Republicans declared dead.

The Democratic-led House passed the bill on Saturday in a special session called by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to prevent dwindling Postal Service funding and planned service cuts from interfering with delivery of mail-in ballots for the Nov 3 election.

The county seat of Brown County, it is located

 at the head of Green Bay, a sub-basin of Lake Michigan,

A Fox River runs through our little village of ‘Uncasvillage’ on its way the ‘Pequot River’ on to the ‘Long Island Sound’.

You may or may not know that back while our ancestors were being replaces, assimilated or murdered, many of those ancestors traveled west and some landed in and around your area.
